Dan Kobell, Chief Financial Officer, Radian
Dan Kobell has been named Chief Financial Officer, reporting to Radian Chief Executive Officer Mike Weinbach. Since joining Radian in 2015, he has held finance leadership roles of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as Interim Chief Financial Officer since February 2026. Kobell will continue to lead Radian’s financial strategy and operations, with a focus on disciplined capital allocation, risk management, and maintaining the company’s capital strength and financial flexibility. He will partner with the leadership team to direct investments toward strategic priorities that support sustainable growth, generate attractive returns and create long-term stockholder value.
Courtney Smith Goodrich has joined Radian as Chief Information Officer, reporting to Weinbach. She will lead the company’s technology strategy, including system modernization, and data and analytics, to sharpen insights, accelerate decision-making, and deliver better outcomes for customers. Most recently, Smith Goodrich served as Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer at Fannie Mae, where she led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. She previously held executive leadership positions at Wells Fargo and JPMorgan Chase.
Russell Merrett, a founder and Chief Underwriting Officer of Radian specialty insurance subsidiary Inigo, will assume a newly created role leading property and casualty (P&C) strategy for Radian, reporting to Weinbach. He will assess opportunities in relation to Radian’s existing portfolio and strategic priorities, exploring new markets, partnerships, and other potential avenues to scale the company’s insurance and reinsurance businesses and support profitable growth.
Craig Knightley has been promoted to Chief Underwriting Officer of Inigo and will succeed Merrett after regulatory approval is obtained. In this role, he will lead underwriting for the company’s insurance, reinsurance, and partnerships businesses. Knightley joined Inigo at its founding, helping build the business and originating its Horizon and Inform programs, which exemplify the company’s distinctive approach to the specialty market. He will report to Inigo Chief Executive Officer Richard Watson.
Stuart Bridges, a founder of Inigo who has served as its Chief Financial Officer, will take on a new role as Radian Group Advisor. Drawing on his deep P&C expertise and relationships, he will expand Radian’s connections with key business partners and market participants, including P&C-focused investors, to build broader understanding of the company’s strategy and value within the sector.
These appointments complement the continued leadership of Meghan Bartholomew and Steve Keleher as Co-Heads of the company’s mortgage insurance subsidiary, Radian Guaranty, and Richard Watson as CEO of Inigo.
“Radian has a leading mortgage insurance business, a differentiated specialty insurance platform, a strong capital position, and a deep and talented team,” said Weinbach. “These appointments build on that depth, expanding our leadership team with a balance of financial, technology, and underwriting expertise to support executing our strategy and next phase of growth. We see real opportunity ahead and will pursue it with the same risk and capital discipline that underpins our financial strength and creates long-term stockholder value.”
